Very disappointed

I used to be a happy RoadTrip customer. Then I got an iPhone 4 and waited all summer for an adapter plate so I could continue to use it. Finally, in October Griffin informed me that they were not going to support the iPhone 4 but instead had redesigned the RoadTrip and I should buy a new one. So I did.

The cradle is much more secure than the old one, but it still didn't work with my fairly minimal case. That was liveable.

The FM transmitter is awful compared to the old one. I live in New Haven CT (not a super congested area) and the static on every frequency made it completely unusable.

I even put the thing into European mode and it didn't help. FYI, if you want to try it yourself: Menu button til you see a reset option. Preset that button once and then hold it down. Then you can toggle between US/EU/JP modes to get low frequencies.

The only reason I didn't give it one star is that I suppose if you live in a very isolated area it might work.

Bottom line: mine is being returned as we speak. Sigh.
